RTV Silicone Liquid Gasket

The ThreeBond 1217H is a high elongation, single-component, solvent-free, and non-acid RTV silicone liquid gasket with low odor. It cures rapidly to form a rubber-like, highly elastic gasket that perfectly adapts to the surface structure of flange faces. Specifically designed as an automotive flange sealant, the TB1217H offers excellent chemical resistance to high-grade engine oil (type SJ) and superior initial pressure resistance. Its high elongation provides excellent mechanical properties, and it maintains rubber elasticity over a wide temperature range from -60°C to 200°C, with momentary resistance up to 250°C. This non-sag product is typically used as an automotive engine sealant for applications such as oil pans, chain cases, and other flange surfaces. Its formulation ensures it is ideal for sealing complex T-joint surfaces of cylinder blocks and oil pans, providing reliable sealing immediately after application and assembly.
