If you have installed larger tires on your rig then a matching spare tire is a must. The problem comes when you try to bolt that new monster tire/wheel combo on your factory spare tire mount. Rugged Ridge has the answer with the HD Tire carrier Mount. The HD Tire Carrier Mount is constructed of heavy 1/4 in. steel plate and mounts to the tailgate. The tire is relocated two inches out from the old mount for larger tire clearance (Maximum tire size=35 in.).

The OMIX-ADA 11585.01 is a heavy-duty spare tire carrier mount designed for Jeep Wrangler YJ and TJ models from 1987-2006. Constructed from durable 1/4 inch steel plate, this tailgate-mounted carrier is built to withstand off-road conditions.

This tire mount allows for the fitment of tires up to 35 inches in diameter and repositions the spare tire two inches further away from the vehicle's body to accommodate larger sizes and provide additional clearance.
