This genuine BMW running board kit is specifically designed for the BMW X5 F15 chassis. It offers a broadened step surface constructed from brushed and anodized aluminum, providing a more substantial and non-slip stepping area when entering or exiting your vehicle. The complete retrofit kit includes all necessary components such as support beams, the running boards themselves, inserts, and aluminum footplates, all assembled and ready for installation. It also comes with 16 push-in clips with rubber o-rings, though you will need to reuse 11 bolts and one body panel clip per side from your existing vehicle. Additionally, 4 to 5 expanding rivets per side for the wheel arches may need to be replaced. This kit is intended to replace the standard rocker panels and offers an enhanced entry and exit experience. Please note that this running board kit is *not* compatible with vehicles equipped with the M Sport Aero kit. New mud flaps may also be required for proper fitment after installation. The donor vehicle for this specific listing was a 2016 BMW X5 xDrive40e with 11,000 miles.
