Chevrolet S-10 owners can enhance their factory ignition system with the Performance Distributors S-10 Firepower Ignition Kit. Specifically designed for 1994-2003 Chevrolet S-10 models equipped with the 2.2-liter 4-cylinder engine, this kit offers a substantial upgrade over stock components. The Screamin’ Demon Coil Packs are engineered to allow for significantly wider plug gaps, up to .065″. This wider gap facilitates a more complete combustion of the fuel mixture, resulting in tangible gains in horsepower and improved fuel efficiency. Furthermore, the extended spark duration contributes to a smoother idle, more responsive throttle, and increased low-end torque, all while helping to maintain cleaner spark plugs. The coils themselves are filled with epoxy for enhanced heat transfer and vibration resistance, ensuring durability. The accompanying LiveWire spark plug wires are a robust 10mm in diameter and built to perform. They feature a glass braid heat sleeve capable of withstanding extreme temperatures up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. For ease of installation and to ensure correct cylinder pairing, each wire is individually numbered at both ends. These wires are constructed with very low resistance, ensuring that the full potential of the high-voltage spark generated by the Screamin’ Demon Coils is delivered to the spark plugs.
