The BNR S-Line Wastegate Actuator is a budget-friendly upgrade designed for the Gen 1 Cruze, Sonic, Trax, and Vanderhall Venice. It is compatible with the stock turbocharger as well as BNR GTX250, GTS250, and other aftermarket turbochargers. This actuator features a durable metal piston design, replacing the rubber diaphragm found in some competing products.

The BNR S-Line Budget Wastegate Actuator is engineered as a cost-effective performance enhancement for your Gen 1 Cruze, Sonic, Trax, and Vanderhall Venice models. This actuator is designed to work with the factory turbocharger, as well as BNR's GTX250 and GTS250 turbos, and many other aftermarket turbo systems. It distinguishes itself with a robust metal piston construction, offering greater durability compared to rubber diaphragm designs found in some competitor products. The stock wastegate actuator on many 1.4T engines is known to be weak, often preventing the turbo from reaching its full boost potential, even with aftermarket tunes. This can lead to issues like P0299 codes and reduced performance. Upgrading to the BNR S-Line actuator can resolve these problems, allowing your turbo to achieve optimal boost levels and potentially increase horsepower. The preload on the actuator rod is adjustable, allowing for fine-tuning of boost pressure. The manufacturer recommends starting with one full turn of preload and then testing boost levels. Overtightening can lead to an overboost condition, triggering the ECU's limp home mode. The potential horsepower gain varies significantly based on the stock actuator's performance, ranging from an estimated 10 HP on cars that already hold boost well, to as much as 40-50 HP on vehicles with particularly weak stock actuators that are already tuned for higher boost levels.
