The S&S Cycle Cam Chest Kit 310-1385 is engineered for high-performance 496 chain drive water-cooled engines, offering precision and durability. Crafted from billet aluminum, the oil pump and cam plate feature tight machining tolerances for reliable operation and efficient oil flow. Passage plugs are removable for easy servicing. The kit includes independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest, enhancing oil flow and reducing blockages. Debris screens in both scavenge pickups and a magnet in the cam chest help prevent debris entry. Increased oil flow capacity on both feed and scavenge sides guarantees superior lubrication. An updated oil pump features a groove for an optional OEM oil seal. The adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning of oil pressure. Quickee pushrods and tappets are designed for fast pump-up and high RPM performance, reducing valve train noise. Hard anodized black tappet cuffs improve tappet stability during high lift and high RPM operation, enhancing engine reliability.
