S Series Twin Disc Clutch

The Monster Clutch S Series Twin Disc Clutch is engineered for demanding performance applications in 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am (FBODY) models. It boasts a recommended power range of up to 700 RWHP/RWTQ and is suitable for street, drag, and road race use. The S Series clutch is characterized by its no-chatter operation and stock pedal effort, even with modifications such as nitrous, superchargers, turbochargers, stroker engines, and bolt-ons. The design utilizes a modified GM LT1 based pressure plate to enhance performance and release, while ensuring compatibility with factory GM hydraulics for clean releases up to 8000 RPM. The base package includes the clutch assembly, carbon organic based discs, a 24lb billet steel flywheel, pilot bearing, and an alignment tool. While highly recommended for most applications within its power rating, the manufacturer advises against using this clutch for drifting due to the rigors it places on full-faced frictions. Proper installation and break-in are crucial for achieving factory-smooth operation, no chatter, and factory pedal feel. Note that aftermarket master cylinders may alter pedal effort and engagement window.
