The GSC Power-Division S1 Camshafts are engineered as a performance valvetrain upgrade for the 2003-2005 Mitsubishi Evolution 8. These camshafts are designed to support up to 550 WHP on stock location turbochargers, and are noted for not sacrificing bottom-end performance while providing faster turbocharger spool. Key specifications include a 268° intake and exhaust cam duration, with an intake duration of 216° and exhaust duration of 220° at 0.040" lift. The peak lift measures 11.00mm for the intake and 10.50mm for the exhaust. The camshafts feature an intake center line of 107° and an exhaust center line of 113°, with a designed rev range of 3000-7500 RPMs. While they can work with stock valve springs for lower boost and RPM goals, the product details indicate that upgraded springs are required for optimal performance and to support higher power outputs. Installation of these camshafts may result in a slightly rougher idle compared to stock. Performance gains are estimated between 30-55 WHP, depending on the specific turbocharger configuration.
