S1 Coilover System

The Solo Werks S1 Coilover System provides a performance upgrade for 1985-1996 2WD Volkswagen and Seat models, including the MK II, MK III Golf and Jetta, Corrado, and Passat (B3+B4). This kit offers an adjustable ride height with a lowering range of 1.7 to 3.3 inches for both front and rear suspension. The coilovers feature heavy gold zinc plated housings that have undergone 500-hour salt spray testing for superior corrosion resistance. The twin-tube shock design incorporates gas charging and independent valves with application-specific tuning for fixed dampening. High tensile chrome silicon wire springs are used for lighter weight, increased travel, and reduced stress, all while being powdercoated for durability. The system includes hardened chrome piston rods with a mirror finish, and progressive rate elastomer bumpstops for a long lifespan. Each kit contains two front threaded coilover dampers with springs and helper springs, two rear threaded coilover dampers with adjustable spring perches, and two spanner wrenches. Step-by-step installation instructions and a 1oz bottle of Boeshield T-9 lubricant/protectant are also included. It is important to note that all kits will not retain OEM Electronic Dampening Systems. Additionally, some applications, like the VW Passat B3+B4, may require a separate VW/AG bolt kit at an additional cost (parts N90517304 and N10209009). Wheel spacers may also be needed depending on wheel specifics. The lowering ranges are approximate and can vary based on vehicle mileage, condition, and options.
