S1 Coilover System

The Solo Werks S1 Coilover System offers a premium entry-level solution for enhancing the suspension of your MK IV Jetta Wagon. Designed with a focus on both performance and aesthetics, this system provides a significant lowering range of 40-70mm (1.5-2.75 inches) for the front and rear, allowing for a more aggressive stance and improved handling characteristics. The construction of the S1 Coilover System emphasizes durability and performance. It features heavy gold zinc plated housings that have been salt spray tested for up to 500 hours, ensuring superb corrosion resistance. The twin-tube shock design is gas-charged and utilizes fixed dampening with independent valves tuned specifically for the application. Complementing the shocks are high-tensile chrome silicon wire springs, chosen for their lightweight properties, reduced stress, and increased travel, all finished with a protective powdercoat. Key components include hardened chrome piston rods for a mirror-finished surface, and elastomer bumpstops made from micro-cell poly for progressive rate and long life. The rear perches are height-adjustable with dual lock rings and come with anodized black aluminum construction, including spanner wrenches for adjustment. The kit contains all necessary parts for installation, including front and rear dampers, springs (with progressive rate wagon-specific rear springs), helper springs, adjustable rear spring perches, spanner wrenches, step-by-step installation instructions, and a bottle of Boeshield T-9 lubricant/protectant. Notes for installation and use include that all lowering ranges are approximate and can vary based on vehicle mileage, condition, and options. Wheel spacers may be required depending on wheel specifics. Importantly, all Solo Werks S1 Coilover kits will not retain the OEM Electronic Dampening Systems.
