S1 Coilover System

The Solo Werks S1 Coilover System R3 offers a premium entry-level suspension upgrade designed for enhanced performance and adjustability. This system features heavy gold zinc plated housings for superior corrosion resistance, having undergone 500 hours of salt spray testing. The NEW D-shaped threads on the housings facilitate easier height adjustment and provide greater resistance to debris, complemented by a single adjustable spring perch with a set screw design. Constructed with high-tensile chrome silicon wire springs for a lightweight design that offers more travel and reduced stress, these coilovers also incorporate a twin-tube shock design. This design is gas-charged with fixed damping and independent valves, tuned specifically for each application. The hardened chrome piston rods are mirror-finished for durability, and elastomer bump stops with a progressive rate ensure a long lifespan. The kit includes front threaded coilover dampers, main springs, and helper springs, along with rear dampers and adjustable spring perches. Spanner wrenches and step-by-step installation instructions are also provided. The lowering range is approximately 35-65mm (1.4-2.5 inches) in the front and 35-70mm (1.4-2.75 inches) in the rear, though actual results may vary based on vehicle condition and options. It is important to note that all kits will not retain OEM electronic damping systems. This specific kit (S1VW018) is designed for Volkswagen Golf Mk7 models with 55mm housings and Independent Rear Suspension (IRS), including 1.8T, 2.0T, and GTI variants with gas motors. It also fits Audi A3 2WD/Quattro models from 2015+ with the 1.8T gas motor, and Volkswagen Golf Mk8 GTI models with 55mm housings. Depending on your wheel setup, wheel spacers may be required.
