S1 Coilover System

The Solo Werks S1 Coilover System provides a premium entry-level suspension upgrade for Mk2, Mk3, Corrado, and Passat 2WD models. This system is engineered to offer a significant lowering capability, with adjustable ranges from 45-85mm (1.7-3.3 inches) for both the front and rear of the vehicle. The coilovers are built with durability and performance in mind, featuring heavy gold zinc-plated housings designed to withstand 500 hours of salt spray testing for superior corrosion resistance. Key components include high tensile chrome silicon wire springs for reduced stress and increased travel, hardened chrome piston rods for a mirror finish, and elastomer bumpstops with a progressive rate for a long service life. The twin-tube shock design is gas-charged with fixed dampening, offering independent valves and application-specific tuning to optimize performance. Additionally, the rear perches are height-adjustable with a dual lock ring system, and anodized black aluminum construction, with spanner wrenches included for adjustment. This kit comes complete with front and rear threaded coilover dampers, front and rear springs with helper springs, rear adjustable spring perches, spanner wrenches, step-by-step installation instructions, and a 1oz bottle of Boeshield T-9 lubricant/protectant. It's important to note that all lowering ranges are approximate and can vary based on vehicle mileage, condition, and options. Wheel spacers may be necessary depending on the specific wheel used, and this kit will not retain OEM electronic dampening systems.
