The Solo Werks S1 Coilover System R3 represents a premium entry-level coilover suspension solution for the MK VII Jetta models equipped with rear torsion beam suspension. This system is engineered to provide adjustable ride height, with a front lowering range of 35-65mm (1.4-2.6 inches) and a rear lowering range of 35-70mm (1.4-2.75 inches). Key features include heavy gold zinc-plated housings that have undergone 500-hour salt spray testing for superior corrosion resistance. The coilovers utilize a twin-tube shock design with gas charging and fixed dampening, featuring independent valves and application-specific tuning. The springs are made from high-tensile chrome silicon wire, known for being lightweight, requiring less stress, and offering more travel, all while being powder-coated. Additionally, hardened chrome piston rods with a mirror finish and elastomer bumpstops made from micro-cell poly contribute to the system's durability and performance. Installation is facilitated by the D-shaped threads on the adjustable spring perches, which offer easier height adjustment and better resistance to debris. The kit includes spanner wrenches and step-by-step installation instructions. The kit contents comprise front threaded coilover dampers, front progressive springs, rear dampers, rear adjustable spring perches, rear springs, and spanner wrenches. Important notes for installation and fitment include that all lowering ranges are approximate and can vary based on vehicle mileage and condition. Wheel spacers may be required depending on wheel specifics, and this kit will not retain OEM electronic dampening systems.
