The Solo Werks S1 Coilover System R3 offers a premium entry-level coilover suspension solution for the MK IV 98'-05' 2WD platform, including VW Golf/GTI, Jetta, New Beetle, and Audi TT (8N) models. This system provides a significant lowering range, with adjustments from 40-70mm (1.5-2.75 inches) for both the front and rear suspension, allowing for a customized stance and improved handling. Constructed with high-tensile chrome silicon wire springs for less stress and more travel, the coilovers feature twin-tube shock design with gas charging and fixed dampening for app-specific tuning. The heavy gold zinc-plated housings offer superb corrosion resistance, having passed a 500-hour salt spray test. New D-shaped threads on the adjustable spring perches facilitate easier height adjustments and provide greater resistance to debris. Hardened chrome piston rods and elastomer bumpstops contribute to a long lifespan and progressive ride quality. The rear perches are height adjustable and include spanner wrenches for adjustments.
