S197 Cold Air Kit

The Steeda Cold Air Kit for the S197 Mustang is engineered to deliver significant power gains by optimizing airflow. Testing has shown increases of up to 38 HP and 30 ft-lbs of Torque to the rear wheels when combined with a custom SCT tune. This kit utilizes a durable stainless steel air box that includes a velocity stack air inlet guide to minimize turbulence and ensure smoother airflow into the engine. The included Steeda Lifetime Filter is serviceable, allowing it to be cleaned and re-oiled for long-term use. Installation involves mounting the air box in the factory location, with supplied rubber trim to seal against the hood and fender, effectively preventing the intake of hot air. This design allows the system to cool to ambient temperature range significantly faster than the stock air box and maintain cooler inlet temperatures, often within 5 degrees of ambient. **Important Considerations:** A computer re-flash (tune) is required for proper operation of this cold air intake. Steeda recommends their SCT XCalibrator 4 tuner or their power pack combo. This kit is not approved for sale or use in California or states requiring a California E.O. #, and is intended for off-road application only. Installation on vehicles driven on public roads may violate U.S. and Canadian laws. The fitment is specifically for 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT and Bullitt models.
