The BorgWarner S257SXE Turbo represents a pinnacle of aftermarket turbocharger engineering, born from a comprehensive design wishlist by BorgWarner's Advanced Aftermarket Product group. It combines advanced materials and innovative features to deliver exceptional boost response, substantial power output, and enduring reliability. This turbo is capable of supporting up to 65 lbs/min of airflow, which translates to approximately 625 horsepower when paired with appropriate supporting modifications and fuel octane. Key specifications include a 57.15mm / 2.25” compressor inducer diameter and a 61mm / 2.42” turbine exducer diameter, with a .63 A/R exhaust housing. The super core features a forged milled (billet) compressor wheel with extended tip technology and optimized compressor stage aerodynamics. It also includes a compressor cover with an integrated speed sensor port and a pre-machined boost port. The compressor outlet is straight and measures 3.00” in O.D. ZZPerformance notes that their Z57 turbo, which shares design elements with this unit, is designed to bolt in place of the factory K04 turbo on the LNF motor. However, it explicitly does not fit LNF 2.0L Saturn Sky Redline or Pontiac Solstice GXP models.
