S366SXE 66mm Turbocharger

The BorgWarner S366SXE 66mm turbocharger is engineered for a performance range of 300-550 horsepower, balancing robust power output with the ability to daily drive and tow. This turbo is recognized for its significant low-end response and rapid spool-up, positioning it as an ideal upgrade for applications like the 7.3L engine. It is compatible with various injector sizes, from basic Stage 1 160cc injectors up to Stage 3 238cc Hybrid injectors. The unit features a 66mm inducer compressor wheel with a billet design and a 360-degree thrust bearing for enhanced durability. It utilizes a T4 exhaust mounting flange and is offered with either a .91 or 1.0 A/R exhaust housing, with the .91 A/R generally recommended for manual transmissions and the 1.0 A/R for automatics due to differences in turbo lag. When purchased with the optional CSD mount kit, the S366SXE becomes a complete bolt-in system. This kit includes necessary components such as intercooler pipes, exhaust downpipe, y-pipe collector, pedestal, up-pipes (bellowed, eliminating donuts), and turbo oil feed and drain tubes. The included 4-inch intake tube is designed for direct fitment with stock, AIS, and AFE Stage One intake systems, though modifications might be needed for AFE Stage II or similar systems. A 3.5-inch downpipe is included for improved low-end torque, and an adapter may be required depending on the existing exhaust setup. Note that the CSD mount kit is supplied in bare stainless steel, not coated red as sometimes pictured. As a standalone turbocharger, it requires specific oil feed line considerations: a 3AN line is recommended, and if a -4AN or larger line is used, an oil restrictor is necessary. The turbocharger does not support water cooling or a BB CHRA (Ball Bearing Cartridge) as it is journal bearing and oil-cooled only. Full-Race recommends modifying the turbine housing to a 3-inch V-band for enhanced fitment, similar to GTX40R turbos, allowing easier swaps between T4 turbos with 3-inch V-band outlets.
