S400 Turbocharger Install Kit

The Pistonwistin S400 single turbocharger install kit provides a comprehensive solution for upgrading the 6.6L LB7 Duramax diesel engine in 2001-2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD trucks. This kit features a 5-inch fabricated aluminum intake, high-performance dry filter, and 3-inch mandrel-bent aluminum charge pipes. It includes a fabricated high-flow billet y-bridge to replace the restrictive stock intake manifold, alongside braided stainless steel Parker oil lines for reliable feed routing. The included high-temp ceramic coated downpipe connects directly to the existing front pipe V-band clamp, requiring no cutting or modification to the exhaust system. Compatibility requirements are specific: the included turbo downpipe is designed exclusively for Half Marmon style S400 exhaust outlets (4.6-inch diameter flat flange) and is not compatible with HX40 style exhaust outlet flanges. Additionally, you must use the WCFAB Billet forward-facing thermostat housing (kit WCF100405) with this installation, as the OEM coolant feed port will interfere with the larger intake pipe, and standard block-off plugs do not provide sufficient clearance on LB7 models. If you are not purchasing a Borg Warner turbo directly with the kit, you must provide specific brand and model details to ensure proper fitment, as the manufacturer may require you to supply the turbo in advance for mock-up build processes.
