Overview

The BorgWarner S400SX Super Core 179352 is a high-performance turbocharger component featuring a 67.7mm compressor and 83mm turbine wheel, designed for custom applications.

Show original supplier description

The BorgWarner S400SX Super Core is the central rotating assembly of a turbocharger, designed for custom and high-performance applications. It features twin hydrodynamic journal bearings for durability and performance, along with Extended Tip Technology on the compressor wheel to enhance airflow. The super core's design allows for adjustable compressor and turbine housing orientation, providing flexibility in installation. Key specifications include a compressor wheel inducer diameter of 67.66mm and an outer diameter of 91.44mm. The turbine wheel has an inducer diameter of 74.29mm and an outer diameter of 83.47mm. While this is a universal fit component, it requires separate turbine housings for complete installation. Various T4 and T6 inlet turbine housings are available with different A/R ratios (0.90, 1.00, 1.10, 1.25) to match specific engine and exhaust configurations. This allows builders to fine-tune the turbocharger's response and power delivery. Installation requires advanced mechanical skills and custom fabrication, as it is not a direct bolt-on replacement for any specific vehicle. Users should be prepared to source compatible housings, plumbing, and tuning solutions to integrate this super core into their vehicle.
