Description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain S5-47 manual transmission is a remanufactured unit engineered for 1996-1997 Ford F-Series trucks. This transmission is specifically designed for models equipped with the 7.5L engine, a 2WD drivetrain, and a 5-speed configuration, with the Power Take-Off (PTO) option not utilized. Built to strict standards, each Zumbrota Drivetrain transmission is subjected to a multi-stage inspection process. This includes a pre-inspection to identify and reject cores with case cracks or excessive wear, a mid-remanufacturing inspection to ensure component parts meet OEM specifications, and a final post-build inspection for quality assurance. Internal parts receive a 100% inspection, covering gear wear, mainshaft straightness, and synchronizer functionality. To guarantee optimal performance and reliability, all transmissions are dynometer tested through numerous real-life scenarios before shipment. The S5-47 features an integral bell housing, an electronic speedometer, and a gear ratio of 5.08 Low - 0.77 High. Technical notes confirm its ZF-built construction and provide key identifiers such as ID: 1317-050-003, F6TA-NA, and Hollander Numbers: 400-02276B, 400-03074.
