The Flashark S55 downpipe is a 3-inch exhaust component designed for BMW M3 (F80) and M4 (F82/F83) models with S55 engines. It fits seamlessly in place of stock downpipes, located after the catalytic converters. This upgraded downpipe allows for easier exhaust gas flow from the turbo, improving horsepower and torque for a better driving experience.

The Flashark S55 downpipe is engineered to replace the restrictive factory downpipes on BMW M3 (F80) and M4 (F82/F83) models equipped with S55 engines. Situated directly after the catalytic converters, these upgraded downpipes facilitate a smoother and less restricted flow of exhaust gases from the turbocharger, leading to significant increases in horsepower and torque. This improved airflow contributes to a more responsive and engaging driving experience. All joints are TIG welded to ensure durability and prevent cracking, while the CNC-machined flange provides maximum strength. The flanges are chrome-plated for enhanced corrosion resistance, and the entire unit is finished with a mirror polish. This downpipe is specifically designed for the F80 M3 Sedan (S55 Engine, 317 kW) and the F82/F83 M4 Coupe & Convertible (S55 Engine, 317–368 kW). It is confirmed to only fit F80/F82/F83 chassis. A tune is mandatory for the S55 DME to recognize the new airflow and prevent check engine lights; popular tuning options include Bootmod3 (BM3) Stage 2 maps or Burger Motorsports (JB4). Installation is estimated to take 3-5 hours and may require an impact wrench for seized turbo outlet bolts, along with new gaskets and anti-seize compound.
