It features a high-density, dual-pass bar and plate core for improved cooling performance and reduced intake temperatures. The intercooler has a black powder-coated finish and CFD-optimized cast aluminum end tanks.

The VRSF Top Mount Intercooler is engineered to replace the stock intercooler in compatible BMW S55 engines, aiming to maximize performance and reliability. It utilizes a high-density, dual-pass bar and plate core designed for superior heat dissipation and a 62% increase in cooling capacity compared to the original equipment. This enhancement helps to significantly lower intake air temperatures, mitigating heat soak which is a common issue with the factory intercooler, especially under increased boost levels or aggressive tuning. This ensures seamless integration with the existing chargepipe setup, as it is compatible with any chargepipe on the market. The durable black powder-coated finish provides corrosion resistance and a clean aesthetic. This VRSF intercooler upgrade is specifically designed for the BMW F80 M3, F82/F83 M4 models from 2015-2021, and the F87 M2 Competition from 2018 onwards, all equipped with the S55 engine. It supports both Left Hand Drive and Right Hand Drive configurations.
