S60 Rear End Assembly

The Strange Engineering H1400 is a bolt-in S60 rear end assembly engineered for the 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro with a V8 engine, model years 2010-2015. This upgrade aims to enhance the vehicle's capability on the street or strip. The rear end utilizes proven components, including the Strange 35-spline S-Trac differential and Hy-Tuf axle shafts. Constructed from lightweight 206-T4 aluminum, the housing and cover offer exceptional strength and toughness while reducing weight. The design incorporates fins that add rigidity and supplement cooling, and the cover provides additional support to the main caps, increasing strength and decreasing deflection. For precise gear setup, it features aircraft-grade 2024-T351 billet aluminum main caps and steel adjuster nuts. The assembly is finished with Black Enduraguard™ coating for extensive surface protection and includes a fill and magnetic drain plug for convenient oil changes. Key components include a Dana 60 ring gear with a large 9 3/4″ diameter for exceptional strength, considered more efficient than a Ford 9″ gear set. The Strange S-Trac differential provides smooth and progressive power transfer, while the 1350 series yoke and U-bolts are designed to accept larger U-joints and handle greater torque loads. The unit also features Hy-Tuf 35 spline stub axles for superior torsional strength and utilizes readily accessible Dana 60 components. A polyurethane bushing kit is included for a seamless installation. Installation requirements include a custom driveshaft and aftermarket axle half shafts. Gear ratio selections are available in 3.54, 3.73, 4.10, and 4.30. Note that this product has an estimated build time of 4-5 weeks.
