S60 Rear End Assembly 9.750" Ring Gear

The Strange S60 Rear End is a performance-oriented axle assembly engineered to surpass OEM Dana 60 rear axles. Its construction features a proprietary nodular iron casting, significantly enhancing strength over traditional cast iron. Key design elements include heavy-duty main caps equipped with adjuster nuts, which simplify backlash and preload adjustments, reducing the time and effort required for gear or differential changes. The 9.750-inch ring gear provides robust performance, comparable to a 9-inch Ford gear but with improved efficiency and a more favorable price point. The S60 weighs only slightly more than a comparable 9-inch rear end and is lighter than an aftermarket 12-bolt assembly. This S60 Rear End comes standard with a Strange Spool, a standard gear set, 35 spline Alloy axles, 12mm or 1/2” wheel studs, a heavy-duty 1350 series yoke, a u-bolt kit, and a steel rear cover. Strange offers a variety of customization options for housing ends and leaf spring mounts, along with numerous gear ratio choices. Standard ratios range from 3.54 to 5.38, while optional Pro Gear Ratios are available up to 6.17. Numerous upgrades are also available, including Pro gears, ultra-lite axle flanges, 5/8” wheel studs, chrome moly yokes, and Strange HD aluminum or satin black powder-coated housings.
