The SaltDogg 2.5-5.5 Cubic Yard Gas Conveyor Chain Spreader (14710F461211) has a 4.5 Cubic Yard Capacity. This heavy-duty, durable spreader is powered by a 10-1/2 HP Briggs and Stratton Intek Industrial/Commercial gas engine with in-cab electric start throttle control. It is designed to work with bulk salt, bulk sand, or a 50/50 salt/sand mix. The hoppers are suitable for dump bodies and flatbeds with a minimum 13,000 lb GVW (gross vehicle weight) chassis. The construction features highly corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel with a fully-welded frame and two hinged top screens with 1/4 inch bars. It includes a 14-1/2 inch wide, high-flow, steel pintle chain conveyor with 1/4 inch crossbars and a stainless steel floor. A high-torque conveyor gearbox with a 20:1 ratio provides extra power on startup. A stainless steel inverted V reduces stress on the drive line and improves material flow. An adjustable feedgate with a lock pin offers additional material flow control. The spreader is equipped with a 12V electric clutch and an in-cab, three-position momentary switch and throttle. An 18-inch poly spinner casts material 2 ft to 30 ft, with adjustable baffles to cater the spread pattern. The chute and spinner assembly flips up or detaches completely, tool-free, for convenient bulk unload, easy servicing, and access to towing. A 3007416 vibrator is not included and must be purchased separately. The spreader is shown with optional light bar (8891144) and pre-wet system (LS1), which are sold separately. Made in the USA.
