The Buyers Products SaltDogg PRO4000 Series Poly Hopper Spreaders are designed for medium and heavy-duty commercial use by contractors and property managers. It is compatible with dump trucks and flatbeds with a minimum Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 17,500 lbs. This 4 cubic yard spreader can handle bulk salt or a 50/50 salt/sand mix. It features an electric-powered or hydraulic design for quieter operation without the need for refueling or engine servicing. The PRO4000 Series is built with a double-wall, lightweight, all-poly hopper construction that resists rust and dents, supported by a corrosion-resistant stainless steel frame. It utilizes a 5-1/2 inch steel auger and stainless steel trough, driven by either a 3/4 HP, 12V gear motor or a 19 CI hydraulic motor. Dual 400 lb vibrators, in conjunction with an inverted V and auger, ensure continuous material flow. An 18 inch polymer spinner, powered by an independent 1/2 HP, 12V motor or a 3.17 CI hydraulic motor, can cast material up to a 30 ft radius. The spreader includes a chute with an open trough and stainless steel spinner shield, and the spinner assembly is easily removable for cleaning and storage. Electric versions feature intuitive in-cab controls for independent management of conveyor and spinner speeds, and vibrator control. It comes standard with two steel top screens and a vinyl tarp with a tie-down kit, and is backed by a 2-year warranty and made in the USA.
