The ACT Heavy Duty Performance Street Disc Clutch Kit (SB10-HDSS) is engineered to provide robust performance for street and race applications, compatible with a range of Subaru WRX STI and Legacy GT models. This kit combines ACT's most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate with their most sought-after street disc. The pressure plate is designed with an exclusive diaphragm that increases clamp load and reduces deflection, contributing to extended clutch life. Each diaphragm is subjected to a rigorous four-stage heat-treating process to ensure consistent performance under demanding conditions. ACT's precision cover stampings add rigidity and consistency to the pressure plate assembly. The Performance street disc utilizes premium organic friction materials with a high copper content for superior heat transfer. This is complemented by a steel-backed lining for enhanced burst strength and durability. The disc also features a reduced marcel, which promotes faster shift action and smooth engagement. The kit incorporates ACT's patented Monoloc, a one-piece unit that replaces the standard two-piece retaining system in pull-type clutches.
