SB5-HDSS Heavy Duty Performance Street Sprung Clutch Kit

The ACT SB5-HDSS is a heavy duty performance street sprung clutch kit designed for increased clamp load, reduced deflection, and extended clutch life. This kit utilizes ACT's most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate, featuring a proprietary diaphragm design that undergoes a four-stage heat-treating process for unparalleled performance and durability. The precision cover stampings provide rigidity and consistency. Accompanying the pressure plate is ACT's Performance Street disc, constructed with premium organic materials that have a high copper content for improved heat transfer. The steel-backed lining enhances burst strength and durability, while a reduced marcel ensures faster shift action. This disc is carefully engineered, precisely assembled, and dynamically computer balanced for smooth high RPM reliability. The clutch offers light to moderate pedal effort with smooth engagement and is recommended for both street and race applications. It provides a torque capacity of 420 ft-lbs, representing a 32% increase over OE. This kit includes the performance street sprung disc, an alignment tool, pilot bearing, release bearing, and a heavy-duty pressure plate. It is specifically designed for 5-speed applications and is compatible with the factory flywheel for 2006 and newer WRX models (flywheel not included). However, it is crucial to note that Subaru incorporated 240mm clutch components into production during mid-2018MY, starting with VIN J*806877. ACT clutch kits and flywheels are not compatible with these revised OEM components.
