The Dart LS Next2 Aluminum LS Block is an ultimate upgrade for adding strength to the Aluminum LS Next platform. It features Dart's priority main oiling system with provisions for stock oil filter mounting. By using conventional style main caps and oil pans with LS rotating assemblies and related components, Dart has resolved windage and oil control problems inherent in factory LS engines with separated crankcase bays. This LS Next2 version incorporates larger billet steel main caps and is machined to accept fully counterweighted crankshafts and 1/2 inch head studs, suitable for higher power levels. It has a long skirt/fully skirted design, stock LS rear seal provision, thick cylinder walls, and additional clearances for high-performance applications.
