The Speedway Motors SBC Small Block Chevy V8 Engine Crossmember Motor Mount Kit is engineered to facilitate engine swaps, offering a robust solution for installing a Chevy engine into various frames. Constructed from heavy-wall 1.75-inch tubing with a 0.11-inch material thickness, this crossmember is MIG welded for durability. It is designed to fit frames up to 39 inches wide, with a minimum mounting distance of 20 inches and an overall width of 39 inches. The kit includes 3-bolt S/B Chevy rubber motor mounts manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications. These mounts utilize a unique rubber formula for good abrasion resistance and aging stability, ensuring maximum life and performance, with an application-specific durometer and Special Chemlock® bonding agent for a superior rubber-to-metal bond. The mounting system provides a 6.00-inch drop and a 16.75-inch center-to-center distance for the mounting holes. This kit is explicitly noted to fit most 1958-73 Chevy passenger cars with a small block V8 engine, simplifying installation and ensuring compatibility for specific classic vehicles.
