Description

This Zumbrota Drivetrain Axle Assembly is a remanufactured 7.2 IFS axle designed for 1997-1998 GM Astro and Safari models with a 3.42 ratio and flat yoke. Each assembly undergoes a rigorous rebuilding process, including thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and wear, as well as testing of internal components like ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Housings are cleaned using a hydro-blasting and rinsing process to restore them to OEM finish, and correct rolling torque is established for precise setup and longevity. The units are shipped in high-density plastic totes to prevent transit damage.
