SC Series Single Disc Clutch with Extreme Duty Pressure Plate

The Monster SC Series Single Disc Clutch is engineered for high-horsepower applications, offering a robust solution for racing and aggressive street use in 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am F-Body vehicles. This clutch boasts a substantial power rating of 700 rear-wheel horsepower and torque, making it suitable for vehicles with power adders like nitrous, superchargers, and turbochargers. Constructed with a proprietary ceramic-based friction material and a 12-inch Extreme Duty pressure plate, this clutch is mated to a 28lbs billet steel flywheel. All components are CNC machined and precision balanced to less than 0.100 OZ/IN to ensure strength and durability. The base package includes the extreme duty pressure plate, ceramic-based clutch disc, billet steel flywheel, pilot bearing, and an alignment tool. While capable of handling abuse and extreme driving conditions, this clutch is not intended for daily driven applications. Owners should expect a noticeable chatter/shudder during take-off and an on/off engagement feel, which can be exacerbated by lightened flywheels. The engagement is described as aggressive, with factory pedal effort, though aftermarket master cylinders may increase effort and reduce the engagement window. Proper break-in is recommended for optimal performance and to manage the inherent aggressive nature of the clutch. This clutch kit is specifically designed for the 1998-2002 F-Body platform.
