The Ksport Slimline Big Brake Kit addresses the challenge of fitting large aftermarket brake calipers behind aggressive wheel fitments, a common issue with today's vehicle styling trends. Ksport's Slimline caliper design mirrors the thickness of OEM single-side floating piston calipers, allowing for compatibility where other big brake kits may not fit. Constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, the one-piece forged calipers eliminate weak spots and ensure consistent strength and thickness. Caliper pistons are made from aluminum and protected by high-temperature seals, while opposed-piston design ensures even brake pad wear. The kit includes lightweight two-piece rotors, featuring a two-piece design that offers fade-free performance and comfortable operation. The two-piece design also helps reduce warping due to heat buildup, and the aluminum center section acts as a heat sink, contributing to a longer service life. The standard kit includes a set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track use, offering reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. For enhanced stopping power under extreme track conditions, an upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available, though these are not recommended for street use. The system also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent hose expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. All kits come with CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets, ensuring a direct bolt-on fit to OEM caliper bracket locations. This Slimline Big Brake Kit is appropriate for 17-inch wheels and above. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler running temperatures, while slotted rotors are suggested for vehicles with more track use.
