The calipers are constructed from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and corrosion-free component. Inside, aluminum pistons contribute to improved heat management and reliable operation, even under demanding conditions. The opposed piston caliper design is a key enhancement over OEM, promoting more even pad wear and increased caliper rigidity. Buyers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily drivers due to their cooler operation, or slotted rotors, preferred for track-oriented vehicles. The included SC5 Street Pads are formulated with NAOC Ceramic technology, providing optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track days. These pads also significantly reduce brake dust (by 50% or more compared to race pads) and minimize noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to facilitate direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket locations. Additionally, D.O.T compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, replacing softer rubber lines to prevent expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customization options are available, including caliper colors (Orange, Red, Black, Yellow) and premium finishes like Silver, Gold, Titanium, or Glassy/Hard Anodized. The system is built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. This kit is specifically designed for the Toyota MRS from 1999-2007.
