Each caliper is precision CNC machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, offering exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. The calipers feature aluminum pistons for superior heat resistance and improved caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. This kit utilizes two-piece rotors, which reduce both rotating and unsprung weight, contributing to enhanced performance. For extreme heat conditions, a floating disc option is available to prevent warping and maintain optimal rotor surface integrity. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are advised for track-focused applications to expel gases and pad material more efficiently. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for peak performance. Included are NAOC Ceramic SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking in street and occasional track use, offering a 50% reduction in brake dust and noise compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate expansion under pressure, resulting in quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel than stock rubber lines. Ksport caliper brackets are CNC machined from carbon steel to seamlessly integrate with OEM mounting locations. Ksport big brake kits are built to order and typically require a 4-6 week production and delivery time. This specific kit is designed for Volkswagen Passat models from 2015-2018 and fits 2WD vehicles only. It's important to confirm fitment with your specific vehicle before ordering.
