SC5 Street Pad Kit

This extreme brake upgrade integrates new technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads under demanding conditions. At the core of this kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with much larger pistons than standard calipers, and weighs just over 7 lbs each. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the included stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. This design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The rotors feature unique slot designs that reduce braking noise and expel gas and pad debris more effectively. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for more track-focused use. Ksport SC5 Street Pads are standard, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. Optional RC5 Race Pads are available for extreme track conditions. All Ksport big brake kits are made to order and come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
