The Performance Distributors Screamin' Demon Coil Pack (31724) is engineered to enhance the performance of your 5.0L V8 Mustang. This coil delivers more power and torque compared to the factory original, resulting in quicker engine starts, improved fuel economy, and a more responsive throttle. By enabling wider spark plug gaps (up to .060" - .065"), it allows more spark energy into the combustion chamber, promoting a more efficient burn. Constructed for durability, the Screamin' Demon Coil features brass terminals and is epoxy-filled. This construction enhances heat transfer and vibration resistance, ensuring a long and reliable service life. The coil's high-energy output, reaching a maximum of 45,000 Volts, provides a hotter spark, which contributes to more complete fuel combustion and a noticeable increase in power. This Screamin' Demon Coil is specifically designed as a performance upgrade for 1984 to 1995 5.0L V8 Mustangs, including LX 5.0, GT, and SVT Cobra models. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use at least an 8mm spiral core spark plug wire, as this coil is too powerful for factory plug wires.
