The Performance 31732M Screamin' Demon Ignition Coil Pack is engineered to deliver a significantly hotter spark compared to stock ignition systems. While a standard coil pack typically outputs 36,000 volts under heavy load, this performance-oriented unit boosts output to a shocking 40,000 volts. This increased voltage results in a more potent spark, promoting a faster and more complete burn within the combustion chamber, which can lead to improved engine performance. To optimize the benefits of the higher voltage, it is recommended to adjust your spark plug gaps. The manufacturer suggests opening them up to approximately .06 inches, though specific requirements may vary based on the type of spark plugs used. The product includes new bolts for installation and is covered by a 1-year warranty. It is compatible with the R50 MINI Cooper Hatchback from 2002-2006, the R52 MINI Cooper Convertible from 2004-2008, and the R53-S MINI Cooper S Hatchback from 2002-2006.
