The Screamin' Demon 31732M ignition coil pack is engineered to boost performance by delivering a more intense spark. This coil significantly increases voltage output to 40,000 V from the stock 36,000 V, which allows for a wider spark plug gap of up to .06 inches. This wider gap facilitates a faster and more complete ignition of the fuel-air mixture within the combustion chamber, leading to improved engine performance. Installation of this coil may require adjusting spark plug gaps to accommodate the increased voltage. It is recommended to use quality spark plug wires, such as 8mm Kingsborne wires, when installing this coil. The unit includes necessary mounting bolts, as factory bolts may not fit properly due to shoulder size differences. Ideally, rubber bushings should be transferred from the original coil during installation. This ignition coil pack is backed by a 1-year warranty. It is designed for distributorless and computer-controlled ignition systems and is specifically compatible with Gen 1 MINI Cooper models, including the R50 Hatchback (2002-2006), R52 Convertible (2004-2008), R52-S Convertible (2004-2008), and R53-S Hatchback (2002-2006).
