The Planted seat bracket is a vehicle-specific adapter designed to mount aftermarket seats into your BMW E36 coupe. Laser-cut from 3/16-inch steel and finished with a black powder coat, this bracket provides a sturdy base for various seat and slider configurations.

The Planted seat bracket serves as a specialized adapter that bridges the gap between the vehicle floor and aftermarket seating. Each unit is precision-engineered using the specific floor geometry of the BMW E36 coupe as a reference to ensure a secure, bolt-in fitment. These brackets are laser-cut from 3/16-inch thick steel and hand-welded in the USA to ensure structural integrity, then finished with a durable black powder coat. The design features pre-slotted patterns compatible with major aftermarket seat manufacturers, including Sparco, Recaro, Bride, Momo, and many others. Users may also drill custom hole patterns or direct-mount seats when eliminating sliders. Note that Bride sliders may require removing their 'feet' and drilling new holes, while wide-version Cobra sliders require elongating one hole by 1/8 inch. Installation of an aftermarket seat can trigger factory warning indicators due to the removal of airbag or weight sensors; these may potentially be cleared with an electronic resistor, though the specific solution is the responsibility of the end user. Professional installation is recommended. Note that seat fitment varies, and users should verify the seat size prior to purchase as some aftermarket seats may be larger than factory dimensions, potentially affecting steering wheel alignment.
