The Planted Seat Bracket serves as a crucial adapter between your vehicle's floor and an aftermarket seat, accounting for the typically uneven nature of car floors. This driver-side bracket (SB105DR) is engineered using the specific vehicle's floor as a reference, ensuring a precise fit. It is laser cut from robust 3/16 inch thick steel and hand-welded for exceptional strength and weld penetration. For less common slider patterns or for those preferring to direct mount a seat or side mount without sliders, there is additional space on the bracket for drilling custom hole patterns. A durable black powder coat finish protects the steel. When installing an aftermarket seat, be aware that not all seats will fit all vehicles due to variations in shape and size; it's the end-user's responsibility to confirm compatibility before ordering. Also, replacing factory seats with aftermarket ones may trigger vehicle warning indicators (like airbag, weight, or sensor lights) since these components are not transferred. Electronic resistors may potentially eliminate these indicators, but their effectiveness and correct type are determined by the end-user. Professional installation is recommended.
