The Planted Seat Bracket is a vehicle-specific adapter designed to mount aftermarket seats to the floor of your Scion or Toyota iQ (2008-2016) for the driver's side. Constructed from 3/16" thick steel, it offers superior strength and a durable black powder coat finish. This bracket accepts sliders from most major seat manufacturers, including Bride, Cobra, OMP, Racetech, Recaro, Sparco, and Status, facilitating the installation of various aftermarket seats. Extra material is provided for direct seat or side mount applications where eliminating sliders is preferred, though some drilling may be required in such cases. When installing an aftermarket seat, it's important to be aware that vehicle warning indicators (such as airbag, weight, or other sensors from the factory seat) may activate. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is the end user's responsibility to determine if a resistor will work and which one to use. Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so it is up to the end user to determine if their chosen seat will fit prior to ordering the seat bracket and associated components. Professional installation is recommended.
