The Kirkey Racing 86 Series Intermediate Containment Seat Kit (MPN: 86185KIT) is an adjustable aluminum racing seat with a 20° layback and includes a black tweed cover. It replaces the 88 Series Intermediate Containment Seats and is suitable for Dirt Late Model, Asphalt Late Models, Crate Late Models, Midwest Modifieds, and Street Stock.

Key features include a unique three-piece adjustable design allowing for 4 inches of total vertical adjustment (3 inches torso, 1 inch head restraint) and 2 inches of forward-to-aft head restraint adjustment, which also rotates for increased peripheral vision. The seat incorporates reinforced bottom, shoulders, and head restraint for added strength. Upholstered padding on the head reduces vibration and absorbs impact, while low rebound, high-impact padding comes standard on the bottom and rib supports. The contoured, elongated bottom supports hips and thighs, and the padded bottom upholstery has a built-in leg separator for inner thigh support during high 'G' cornering. Connector brackets utilize nut-certs for simplified assembly and adjustment, and the redesigned shoulder restraint provides more arm clearance.

Improvements over the previous model include a better hip fit to eliminate dead air pockets, repositioned belt openings for a better fit, vertical shoulder adjustment for correct shoulder belt positioning, and shoulder reinforcement with a square tube for increased strength and optional mounting points.
