Security Gateway Bypass Module

The Z Automotive Security Gateway Bypass Module is essential for accessing the OBD2 port on 2018 and newer FCA (Stellantis) vehicles, which are equipped with a Security Gateway Module (SGW) that normally restricts access to dealer diagnostic tools. To install the bypass module, simply locate the SGW module in the vehicle, unplug it, and connect the SGW Bypass block in its place. This action restores full access to the OBD2 port, enabling the use of aftermarket devices such as Z Automotive's Tazer or BurnBox, tuning tools, and code readers. This bypass module is specifically required for installing the Tazer in vehicles such as the 2018-2023 Dodge Durango and the 2018-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Furthermore, it is compatible with any 2018+ FCA vehicle, with the exceptions of the Cherokee L/WL or Grand Cherokee L/WL models. It also now supports all FCA vehicles, including Alfa Romeo and Fiat platforms with the second High-Speed CANBUS.
