Overview

It provides excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance to properly prepared steel, aluminum, and stainless steel surfaces.

This primer is quick drying, with a flash time of 5-10 minutes between coats and a top coat time of 10-20 minutes. It is applied in 2-3 light coats and is available in a 20 oz. aerosol can. The product is VOC compliant in bulk forms and comes in 3 colors: black, gray, and green. Applications include bare steel and bare aluminum.

It is specifically formulated to bond effectively with properly prepared bare steel, bare aluminum, and stainless steel surfaces, creating a solid foundation for subsequent coatings. This primer features a quick-drying formula, allowing for efficient application. The recommended process involves 2-3 light coats, with a flash time of 5-10 minutes between each coat. A top coat can be applied within 10-20 minutes after the final coat of primer. The SEM Self Etching Primer is conveniently packaged in a 20 oz. aerosol can, making it easy to use for various applications. While the aerosol product is available in gray, the primer is also offered in gallons and quarts, and comes in three distinct color options: black, gray, and green. The bulk product forms are VOC compliant, ensuring environmental regulations are met during larger projects.
