The Function-First Performance Semi-Solid Engine Mount Inserts offer a direct solution for enhancing the driving experience in the Porsche Boxster and Cayman (987.1 and 987.2 models). The OEM engine mounts are prone to sagging and tearing, leading to undesirable engine movement that compromises handling responsiveness and shifting precision. Unlike solid metal mounts used in racecars, which introduce excessive cabin noise and vibration, these urethane rubber inserts provide a balanced approach. The 70A hardness rating of this 'Sport' version is ideal for tuned and sport-oriented street cars, offering a noticeable improvement in performance with minimal added noise and vibration compared to track-oriented options. The result is a tauter and more predictable handling feel, immediate and smooth power delivery, and crisp, confident gear changes. Installation is designed to be relatively simple, typically taking around 1.5 hours for 986/987 models. For 981 models, installation may take longer due to the need to disconnect coolant hoses.
