Description

The Permatex 81422 is a sensor-safe, high-temperature RTV silicone gasket maker. This gasket maker is ideal for use on valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps, and thermostat housings. It is resistant to auto and shop fluids.

This gasket maker is formulated for engines equipped with oxygen sensors and is considered a first-generation gasket maker from the 1970-1980 era. It can withstand temperatures ranging from -65 to 650 degrees Fahrenheit intermittently. The product has a VOC content of 3% and a flash point greater than 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Its specific gravity is 1.05.
