The S1 Sequential Ford Toploader 4-Speed Sequential Shifter is engineered to convert your classic Ford Toploader transmission into a lightning-fast sequential gearbox. This complete kit replaces the standard H-pattern with a direct push/pull operation, ensuring reliable, miss-free shifting for demanding applications like drag racing and heavy track use. The shifter system utilizes a dedicated 1-2-3-4 pattern, offering distinct advantages such as easy roll-outs from 4th gear into neutral and built-in downshift protection to prevent accidental drops into neutral. For added robustness and simplicity, reverse is selected via a separate, independent lever. The mechanism provides a short throw action for fast, crisp gear changes, with a tight 70mm (2.75″) throw. This shifter is specifically engineered to mount to the C7OR-7A040-A tail housing, which is typically found in 14-inch length (28 and 31 spline) applications, including certain 1967+ Fairlanes, Cyclones, 1968–1969 Mustangs, and other Ford models from the mid-60s to late-60s. It is crucial to verify your tail housing casting number against product photos before ordering. The kit includes the main shifter unit, all required shift arms, push rods, fitting components, and the shift knob. Optional upgrades include a digital gear indicator and a 0-5V rotary position sensor.
