The S1 Sequential R154 is a conversion kit designed to transform your standard Toyota R154 5-speed H-pattern gearbox into a true sequential operation. It provides repeatable, lightning-fast shifts, even under heavy racing loads. This sequential shifter's push-pull design significantly enhances driver coordination during high-G maneuvers by making it physically impossible to select the incorrect gear, preventing costly mistakes like accidental 2-5 upshifts or damaging 5-2 downshifts. It offers precise mechanical feedback, a clear indication of gear engagement, a mechanical reverse lockout for added safety, and the ability to select neutral between any gear. Key features include a direct-mount design that attaches to the gearbox housing, not an extended factory bracket, which may require trimming the transmission tunnel for clearance. An optional Shifter Surround is recommended for a clean seal of this modification. Available upgrades include a Gear Position Sensor for data logging and gear-based boost control, a Digital Gear Indicator for dash display, and various lever options like the Direct High Lever and High Linkage Lever to adjust shift position while maintaining a short throw.
