The S1 Sequential TKX Sequential shifter is a conversion kit that transforms your standard Tremec TKX H-pattern gearbox into a true sequential operation shifter. The sequential push/pull motion enhances driver coordination during high-G maneuvers, making it physically impossible to select the wrong gear and preventing costly mistakes like 2-5 upshifts or 5-2 downshifts. It provides precise mechanical feedback, ensuring you know exactly when a gear engages, and features a mechanical reverse lockout for added safety and ease of use. True neutral can be selected between any gear. The basic kit includes the main shifter unit and shift knob, with several available options and upgrades. These include a Gear Position Sensor that outputs a 0-5V analog signal for aftermarket ECUs or gear-based boost control, a Digital Gear Indicator dash display, and a Shifter Surround to seal the transmission tunnel opening. Lever options such as the Direct High Lever and High Linkage Lever allow for custom positioning to suit your driving style and interior layout. Crucially, ordering the correct lever (Right or Left) depends on your transmission tunnel clearance, not whether your vehicle is left-hand drive. The Right Lever is the standard choice, offering a 12mm offset to the right, suitable for most builds. The Left Lever has a severe 48mm offset to the left, typically required only for specific chassis like 4th Gen Camaros and Dodge Vipers. Installation requires case modification, including temporarily removing the rear housing and milling or grinding aluminum from the case for internal clearance. Additionally, you will likely need to trim your transmission tunnel to accommodate the new mechanism.
